Lewandowski Secures Double for Borussia Dortmund with Hat-Trick
The Polish international scored three goals to lead his team to victory in the DFB-Pokal final.

Robert Lewandowski scored three goals to lead Borussia Dortmund to a 5-2 victory over Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal final on Saturday. The Polish international opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a header from a Mario Götze cross. He added another goal in the 50th minute with a left-footed shot from the edge of the box, and completed his hat-trick in the 81st minute with a penalty kick.
Shinji Kagawa and Mats Hummels also scored for Dortmund, while Mario Gomez and Franck Ribery replied for Bayern. The victory gave Dortmund the double this season, as they also won the Bundesliga title.
Lewandowski's hat-trick was his second of the season, and he now has 34 goals in all competitions for Dortmund this season. He is the Bundesliga's leading scorer this season, and is one of the favorites to win the Ballon d'Or award.
Dortmund's victory was a sweet revenge for last year's DFB-Pokal final, which they lost to Bayern Munich. It is also a major boost for the team's confidence as they prepare for next season's Champions League.
